The Block Party offered more than just live music. An entire block of Sullivan Street was dedicated to young children, offering a variety of games and activities plus educational opportunities from the police and fire departments. At the old City Market place property, children of all ages can enjoy a number of entertaining inflatables and a climbing wall while their parents watch from a nearby family tent.

No event had a better group of vendors than the Block Party, long known for the variety of its food and drink offerings. Affordably priced Budweiser beer, wine and Coca Cola products were also be available. Although the Block Party was free, people did not walk through the entry gates without dropping a generous amount of money into the donation buckets. The Block Party was only possible as a result of your generosity, and all proceeds go to area nonprofits. Without sponsors, we couldn't have done it all those years. They are who make the Block Party possible. Our Facebook page is and always will be the place for updates.

Although we have no Block Parties scheduled as of yet, but if we get a generous donation that wants to be the Presenting Sponsor, we may then be able to schedule another.

IN BEAUTIFUL DOWNTOWN PUNTA GORDA

The Punta Gorda Block Party was held conveniently in the renovated section of downtown Punta Gorda. The event encompassed W. Marion Ave, Taylor Street, Retta Esplanade & Harborside. Downtown businesses get involved to show you what they have to offer in hopes you will come back to see them again. The opening of the venue was noon with performances all day until 10pm. Main Stage Headliner act is usually after 6pm.

CHILDREN'S STREET

We dedicated an entire street to young children. Every space had child relevant activities, accessories or child friendly vendors. We also had entertainment by Nick's Show for young children to be entertained and have interactions with the host at multiple times during the day. We always had the Fire Department and Police Department representation with interactive games, also school groups have games and more available to all the children.

MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT ON 3+ STAGES

We're thrilled to have held this event for over 30 years, bringing the good people of this area the finest live bands that have ever plugged in their electric guitars. The only venue in town where you can catch the best blues, rock, pop, country & reggae all in the same place. We had incredible artists appearing on 3 or more stages. We also had a community stage area and provided shows, demonstrations and interactive set ups for all to enjoy. See some of our past performers here.
